· This website is the official website for the Anne Frank House Museum (being the official website it had very useful information). I have found it very useful as it allows me to take a virtual tour of the annex which has been very beneficial for my specific topic. It is a very unique experience to be able to ‘walk’ around the annex in which the Frank family and others hid during the Second World War.
· The Anne Frank House & Neuberger, R. J. (2001). The world of Anne Frank. London: Macmillan.
· I found this book very useful as it gives a detailed but brief overview of Anne Frank's life including her early childhood, life in the annex and re-education camps. The book also explores what was happening in the world when the Frank’s were living in the annex, such as the Nazis and their policies involving the Jews.
· Frank, A., Frank, O., Pressler, M., & Massotty, S. (1995). The Diary of a Young Girl: The Definitive Edition. New York: Doubleday.
· As this is the diary that Anne Frank herself kept while living in the annex, it has been very useful in giving me an insight into how Anne Frank saw the annex from her point of view. This is very beneficial as it also shows the character of Anne and through her articulate entries it has provided me with a lot of information about her experience in the annex.
· Kramer, A. (2007). Anne Frank. China: Midas Printing Limited.
· This book is very useful in providing a detailed description of the personality/character of Anne Frank. It also gave a detailed look at her life as a whole including life before she was born, her early life, during the war and after being discovered in the annex. Overall it provided a more analytical perspective on Anne Frank’s life.
· Williams, B. (2003). The Life and World of Anne Frank. Oxford: Heinemann Library.
· The book “The Life and World of Anne Frank” was very useful as it thoroughly explored not only the life of Anne Frank and her family, it also explored in the same depth what was happening in the world around the Frank’s while in the annex, making the book beneficial for my topic.
